Y. Bhg Tan Sri Abdul Razak Ramli has been appointed as an independent non-executive director of the Board of Directors for Lafarge Malayan Cement Berhad with effect from today.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree majoring in public administration from University of Tasmania, Australia and has a diploma in Gestion Publique from Institut International D'Administration Publique, Paris, France.
Tan Sri Abdul Razak has served various Ministries and Government Agencies including the Public Services Department and Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister's Department, Policy Relations Unit, Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), ASEAN Economic Cooperation Unit of MITI, Chairman of APEC Senior Officials when Malaysia hosted APEC, Deputy Secretary General (Industry) and Deputy Secretary General (Trade), before he retired from his last position as Secretary General, Ministry of International Trade and Industry in October 2004. He currently sits on the Board of PROTON Holdings Berhad.
