THE Master Builders Association Malaysia will meet Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in the next two weeks to discuss solutions to steel bar and cement pricing.
Its president, Patrick Wong, said the association wants to find better solutions to a suitable price structure for steel bars and cement that could be used to stabilise the prices of the building materials.
"We will be meeting all the related associations next week to discuss the issue. Then, we are going to meet the deputy prime minister to discuss the solutions. We've yet to fix a date, it will probably be in the next two weeks," he told reporters.
Earlier, Wong chaired a forum themed "Latest Issues on Building Materials and on the Certificate of Completion and Compliance" in conjunction with the association's 53rd annual general meeting. - Bernama
