Health & Safety

We strive to be the best-in-class in every aspect of our business. This also demands excellent performances in safety. Safety is the top priority in all areas of our business operations.

Community Development

We all share one goal - that is to create a better world. At Lafarge Malayan Cement, it is more than just producing, marketing and delivering world-class building materials.  Our committment to protecting the environment and behaving responsibly in the communities we live as well as work in, while meeting the building need requirements that society demands of us today, form an integral part in the core of our business.

As part of our core values and future success of the business, we have an essential role to play in finding new ways of meeting present and future needs that are socially and environmentally sustainable.

Innovation & Environment

It is about safeguarding the world we live in. At Lafarge Malayan Cement, we believe that innovation is not just about enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in our products.  As a Group, we are committed to protecting in four main fronts: stop climate change; preservation of biodiversity; conservation of natural resources; and to develop innovative approaches that promote a better respect for the environment.

In Malaysia, with the use of palm kernel shells in substituition for coal in our plants and the usage of pulverised fuel ash (PFA) in our cement, we are able to reduce CO2 emissions.  This approach allows long-term projects to operate harmoniously in local communities with the support of the national government.

Mobilising Our People - The Lafarge Way

Our principles are a part of everything we do. They are based on our core values of honesty, integrity and respect for people.  They also indicate how we promote trust, openness, teamwork and professionalism and pride in what we do.
