FAQ 1 : KL Sentral Lot A, CIMB Tower Raft Foundation

This prestigious project is within the prime south-east corner of Kuala Lumpur Sentral and will be the site of the CIMB Investment Group's headquarters. The design of this building includes traditional Islamic elements to create a resilient, timeless image of strength and confidence.

 

Lafarge Concrete Malaysia (LCM) was awarded the supply of 20,000 m3 of mass concrete which was completed in 4 months. This project required temperature control for fresh concrete at the site to be below 30'C with a maximum peak temperature of 75'C. The addition of ice in the fresh concrete and the use of Mascrete Low Heat cement were utilized to achieve the required specifications. A new record was achieved by LCM when 4,746m3 of concrete was supplied continuously for one of the raft foundation pours within a 30 hour period.

 

Lafarge Aggregates (LASB) supplied all of the 20 mm concrete stone to LCM for this project which required a constant supply of consistent quality product.

 

LASB is currently supplying crusher run and manufactured sand (estimated 15,000 tonnes) to the same project for the construction of the access road and bridge connecting the main highway to KL Sentral.

 


FAQ 2 : Mid-Valley City Development Phase 2 – Podium Block The Gardens

Lafarge Concrete Malaysia was awarded and supplied ready-mixed concrete for the project in Mid-Valley City Development Phase 2 - Podium Block, The Gardens, under Shimizu Ensignia Joint Venture and Ensignia Construction Sdn Bhd, the authorised works contractor.


FAQ 3 : Driveway for a Gated Community, Bukit Damansara

Artevia Exposed was used for the sloppy driveway for better tyres grip to the surface as well as long term cost effectiveness.

 

Completed in May 2010.

 


FAQ 4 : Catholic Church, Taman Perindustrian UEP, Subang

Artevia Exposed was used to meet the aesthetic and environmental requirements. The idea of using different roughness at the driveway and walkway has well presented and matched the overall aesthetic look of the building.

FAQ 5 : Menara WorldWide, Kuala Lumpur

UltraSteelFiber combined with UltraWatertight was used as topping to improve the roof surface before finished with exposed finishing. The contractor has taken extra steps to improve the screeding by using UltraWatertight and UltraSteelFiber to improve on waterproofing properties and minimize cracking at the same time.

 

Completed in May 2010.

 

 


FAQ 6 : Bungalow at Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya

Artevia White Polish was used to produce aesthetic flooring for a bungalow. Different combination of stones were used in this project to differentiate different areas.

 

Completed in Feb 2010.

 


FAQ 7 : Driveway for a Factory, Subang 2

Artevia Color was used at the factory driveway for heavy vehicle usage. The RC slab was designed with single and double layer reinforcements as per the Engineer's specifications. Artevia, beside has proven its low maintenance, it has also enabled the customer to express his individual style. The customer has made use of Artevia's flexibility to add in his preferred texture on the concrete surface.

 

Completed in July 2009.

 

 


FAQ 8 : Driveway for a Car Showroom, Setapak

Artevia Print was used for the driveway surrounding the showroom. Artevia is the perfect choice for this project because it is economical yet high in aesthetic value. It is easy to maintain and perfectly integrated into the new car showroom.

 

Completed in July 2009.

 

 


FAQ 9 : Meridian Impian, USJ, Subang

Artevia Print was chosen for the driveway to meet the aesthetic look and to save on maintenance. Artevia was incorporated in the architect's design to overcome the issue of high maintenance. 3 colours were used for 3 types of textures in this project.


Completed in Feb 2010.


FAQ 10 : East Ledang, Nusajaya (Playground)

Artevia Color (broom finished) was used to meet the aesthetic and environmental requirements for the walkway, playground and garden at East Ledang, Nusajaya, Johor.

 

Completed in May 2009.

Mass Pour within 30 Hours

LCM Awarded LCCT Project
Lafarge Concrete Malaysia (LCM) has been awarded as the sole ready-mixed concrete supplier to this prestigious project. The total concrete volume is estimated to be 600,000 m3.
 
In line with this, LCM is going to site plants to cater for the concrete demand. The plant state of the art, with a combined rated capacity of 400m3 / hour; is known as the largest plant in the country.
